Koimizu chapter 12.



"Hey, I am getting something to drink. You want something too?" Kiba asked Sasuke. "Cola." Kiba nodded his head as he left the classroom. Sasuke grabbed his bag and put it on his table. The day was going by so slow. He felt like a week passed by already. He put his arms on his bag and put his head into them. His eyes wandered off to Naruto who was listening to music once again, totally ignoring his surrounding. Sasuke rolled his eyes. Maybe it was a good thing Kiba was late today as well. Or else he would've continued asking him what he wanted from Naruto and what his real 'relationship' with him was. Sasuke closed his eyes.

"So annoying..."

"That's just what I thought." Someone replied in a way to him. Sasuke opened back his eyes and sat up straight. His classmates that he once could call his friends stood in front of his table. Laughing at him, no, more smirking. The one in the middle grabbed the little obento-alike box out of his bag and opened it. Just as he thought, Sasuke's lunch was inside of it. He laughed while he turned the box upside down and let all his food drop on the floor. Sasuke watched the scene in front of him but didn't make a move. Why? Why was he just sitting there, doing nothing? Why was it always like this? He wondered... No, he knew why. It was because he didn't want things to get worse then what they already were.

"You... what are you doing here..."

He opened Sasuke's bottle of water and dropped it all over Sasuke. Between a single second, he could feel the water passing by his cheek and even enter his shirt. It was cold and felt disgusting. Sasuke's lips were shaking from anger but no matter what, he tried to stay calm as much as possible. The class slowly filled up with laughter. "What are you doing here..." It was the same question again. He came closer to him until his mouth was next to his ear. "...shouldn't you be sucking a dick?" Sasuke's eyes widened from shock. He felt like crying any minute.

"Get away from him!" A loud yell was heard. Kiba jumped in front of Sasuke's table and pushed his friend away from himself and from Sasuke with a haste. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" One of his friends yelled back as he almost fell on the floor. Kiba bit on his lip. "How long are you planning to do this to him?! He has never done anything to you, right?! So just leave him alone already!"

"What did you say, you punk?"

He knew his friend was angry at him but Kiba really didn't care. He put the cola cans on the table and grabbed his friend by the collar. "Couldn't you hear me?" Although it wasn't a right move to make, Kiba tried to stay calm with his words. Because he knew that violence wasn't going to solve things anyways. He grabbed Kiba's hand and pulled him away from himself. "On which side are you, huh? Us or that disgusting homo over there?!" Kiba looked at Sasuke for a second. He seriously hated it when they called him that. For god sake what was he, some kind of threat?!

"Well?!"

Kiba looked him into the eye. "Sasuke." His friend balled his fist in anger. "Tch... Whatever!" He turned around and left the classroom while the other two followed him like dogs. As always... "Kiba... why did you... Don't you understand that they will hate you now too?" Sasuke asked him worried. Kiba sighed before he sat down and eventually smiled. "Sasuke... you're my best friend... of course I will choose you over those bastards. Hn." He smiled even brighter. "Idiot... You really don't have to worry about me. And by the way, I already promised myself that I would protect you!" Sasuke blinked his eyes twice. He really couldn't help but smile at him. Sometimes, he was so stupid... but those words really touched him...

"...so she said she felt like dying sometimes because the pain is just so painful. But she said that it's all worth it." Kiba explained Sasuke. Really, he couldn't remember how they ended up on this topic but for some reason Kiba was telling him everything about his sis' pregnancy. Although Sasuke told him so many times already to keep it down, before anyone could hear them and would wonder why the hell two guys were talking about pregnancy, Kiba didn't listen.

"Kiba..."

Sasuke wanted to try it another time but he couldn't even look at Kiba. In front of him was Naruto. Kiba finally stopped talking and looked at the still standing Sasuke. "Sasuke... What's wrong?" Kiba looked from Sasuke to the same direction as Sasuke was looking at and faced Naruto this time as well. Naruto opened his closed eyes and looked at the two right now. Sasuke could feel a slight blush appear on his face. He just couldn't help it. "Kiba... I have something to do... uh... you can leave first." Sasuke said to him. Kiba blinked his eyes. He really didn't knew what was going on and he didn't even had the time to ask when Sasuke gave him a glare which definitely said: 'leave now damnit!'
Whatever it was, Kiba knew Sasuke would tell it him soon. He laughed nervously before he waved at Sasuke. "Okay, see you tomorrow. Bye." Kiba quickly turned around and started running away. Why? He didn't knew that either.

Sasuke sighed and looked back at Naruto who was still standing against the wall, definitely waiting for someone or he would've left already. Sasuke was sure who it was, Sakura. He didn't knew what his relationship with her really was but it seriously annoyed him a lot to see them together. Also the rumors that were going through the school some while ago wasn't making him feel better too. The rumors about them being together. Sasuke sighed another time and stopped in front of Naruto. "What do you want?" Naruto asked him annoyed. Naruto didn't even look up at him. Sasuke lowered his head. "Naruto, I know you don't want to see me or speak to me or... anything... but it's important. I really need to talk to you."

"I don't have time for you, go away."

"Naruto!"

"Get lost!" Naruto finally opened his eyes and looked at him, but not in the way Sasuke wanted it to be. Naruto broke his eyes contact with him immediately and left. Forget waiting, Naruto only wanted to get away from this place right now. "Naruto please!" Sasuke grabbed Naruto's arm and turned him around using some of his strength. "Don't keep running away from me!" Sasuke screamed. Students stopped walking and looked at the scene in front of them. "Don't touch me, homo!" Without thinking, Naruto slapped Sasuke in the face. Sasuke fell on the ground as he just lost his grip on Naruto's arm... from shock. He couldn't believe his ears or what he just did. From all those years, this really was the first time he slapped him like this. This time... he meant it.

He really did...

Naruto's eyes widened. Even he was in shock from what he just said and did. But through that, he tried hard not to show anything. Slowly sobs were heard and tears started running down his face and eventually fell on the ground. A huge silence fell as Naruto lowered his head and bit his lip hard. "Why... Why have we become like this... I don't want this... I..." Sasuke couldn't speak anymore at the moment. Another silence fell.

"Are you okay?"

Naruto finally looked up. One of the teachers from school appeared at the scene and asked it once again. "One of our students told me that there was a fight going on... is everything okay?" Naruto just nodded his head. He looked back at Sasuke and pulled him up from the ground by holding his arm. Sasuke couldn't do anything. The tears in his eyes were making his vision blurry he could barely see anything. They entered a room. Naruto let go of Sasuke and put his bag on one of the tables in the room. "What... What do you want to tell me?" Naruto got to business immediately. Sasuke quickly wiped his tears away and as he looked up, the room they just entered made more sence. It was the library. Sasuke lowered his head.

"I..." He started. "Remember that night when we..." He stopped. Sasuke took a deep breath. He wanted to tell it to him for such a long time already but now that it was actually happening, Sasuke find out that it was more difficult than he thought it would be. But it was now or never. Now or never! Naruto rolled his eyes. He acutally didn't want to remember at all, why was he coming up with that anyway?  

"The truth is... that I... I... I am pregnant..."

Naruto's eyes widened.

The nerves were becoming so strong that he felt like throwing up any minute. But why? Because he was so nervous? Or because he was scared? Scared of what to come? "I am pregnant... of your child, Naruto..." He continued with a shaking voice. A huge silence fell in the library. Naruto smirked as he slowly started to laugh. Uncomfortable. "You've been bothering me the whole time... for what? To tell me nothing but a joke?"

"It's not a joke!" Sasuke slammed his hand against the table. He grabbed two papers out of his bag and put them on the table. "It's true! This is what the doctor..." Naruto looked at just the title that was written pretty big on the pages. "Pregnancy."

"You're taking this stupid joke really serious, aren't you?"

"It's not a joke! I am really...!"

Naruto grabbed the papers like he was in a hurry and ripped them apart. "Enough..." His voice was shaking from anger. He turned around and left without saying anything more. Sasuke's hands were shaking. The tears he had just wiped away were back in no time. He slowly sat down on the chair, put his arms on the table and burried his face inside of them. That's right... it was already clear. Although Naruto thought of it as just a joke, it was clear. Their realtionship had completely ended... it was just Sasuke who was trying to hold onto it. He was so foolish... He should've known his reaction would be like this. He should've known that he doesn't want him in his life anymore... so, this child...
