Koimizu chapter 29.



Sakura's eyes opened slowly and a blurry vision was seen before her eyes. Sound was returning to her senses and voices became understandable. "Oh, it seems one of them is awake." She heard an unfamiliar voice saying. Sakura's eyes opened some more as she slowly raised up her head and saw a couple people standing in front of him. Three unfamiliar and one, very familiar. She quickly straightened and looked at the still unconcious boy lying next to her. "Sasu--!" She wanted to reach out her hands but only realised now that her arms were tied up behind her back. She looked at her feet which were tied up too.

"W- What are you planning to do?"

Shinji smiled. He sat down on his knees in front of her and smirked. "Shouldn't I be the one asking questions here? Following me around like that... did you think I wouldn't notice." He gave a glare at the unconcious Sasuke. "I can smell those dogs miles away. Fuckers." He cursed before he pushed Sakura on the ground and stood up.  'Keep an eye on them." A nod was returned from two men. Those people. Who were they anyway?

Sasuke moaned before he opened his eyes and blinked a couple times. Sakura looked at him. "Sasuke-kun!" Sasuke shot up and realised his tied arms and legs. "W- What the..." Sakura looked at him and came closer. "This is bad... There are around five men here including Shinji." She made eye contact with Sasuke and she could read in Sasuke's eyes that he was thinking exact the same as she did.

If Shinji was here, and he had spotted them then what about Naruto and Kakashi? Did he notice them as well?  

Sasuke looked up at the man who was starting to stare at them. He smirked. "Shinji, the other is awake too." He said, his voice low and sounded mean. Sasuke felt himself shiver. He looked back at Sakura who was biting her lip. How the hell could they get out of this? They couldn't even do anything since they were both tied up. This is bad. Really bad...
Shinji entered the room and looked at the two before smirking again. That smirk was so awful. What was he planning to do now? He sat down on his knees in front of Sasuke and grabbed his chin as he made him look up at him. "Did you really think I was so stupid to fall for this?" He said with disgust in his face. He let go of him and stood back up. "This is something I should've done a long time ago. With your beloved boyfriend of course..." He laughed before he looked at one of him men.

"Do it."

He made some steps backwards and put his back against the wall to watch everything and not miss a single thing. Two of his people grabbed a can of oil and started to spread it around the whole room. From the floor, to some on the walls, to around Sasuke and Sakura and then even on them. Sakura yelped. "Y- You can't be... Shinji!" Sakura screamed. No way. This can't be happening. This just can't be happening. Was he really going to kill them like this?

"SHINJI!!!"

"Shut up. It's your own fault. You shouldn't have chosen their side. Now, die the same way as him..."

"We're ready."

He smiled. "Good, do it."

He nodded before making a little fire. A fire so small that you would think it wouldn't hurt anyone. But was in reality something so big that you should be scared of it. "Shinji! I swear I will never appear in front of your eyes ever again! I swear! So please, don't do this!" Shinji made a sign for the man to stop his plan. "Oh, why don't you beg for mercy some more?" He smirked, definitely enjoying this kind of moment. Sasuke shook his head and lowered his head. "We will do whatever you want so please don't do this... We will leave school... we will move away, far away from you... if you just... stop this!" He waited for an answer but came out rather unexpected than he hoped for. Shinji's laughter filled the room right after. "Oh, Sasuke. How pathetic can you be." He looked at the man as his smile dissapeared. "Do it." The man let the small fire in his hands drop. It felt like time had nearly stopped. Sasuke and Sakura followed the fire with their eyes as silence seemed to have appeared around them.

"SHINJI!!!"

As soon as Sasuke screamed the fire hit the ground and fire had appeared as big as walls in front of them, coming closer and closer every second. Sakura closed her eyes from reflex as the explosion of the huge fire almost blinded her. Sasuke coughed from the smoke that entered the room quickly. He grabbed Sakura's arm with his hand and tried to untie the ropes around her hands. But it was no use, he could barely touch it. "Damn it!" Sasuke cursed, coughing once again. He looked at Shinji who was standing at the other side of the fire. His eyes widened. He looked like a devil. Unhuman.

"I am so sorry."

Sasuke turned around and looked at Sakura who was ready to cry any minute. "Although I promised him. Although I promised him I would protect you... I couldn't do anything..." She sobbed. Sasuke shook her head. "No, it's my fault for involving you. But please Sakura, this isn't a time to cry! We should figure out a way to..." Suddenly Sasuke screamed. He pulled his leg closer to his body and looked at the fire that had nearly touched him. That was close. Very close. "Fuck it... it's so close!" Sasuke yelled as he closed his eyes. It was burning. It hadn't even touched them yet but it was hot and the light of the fire was ready to break your eyes. Or atleast that was how it felt like. "Sh--inji... Shinji! Shinji you fucking asshole! Put it out for god sake! PUT IT OUT!!!" Sakura screamed her lungs out before catching her breath. It was almost too thick to breathe and Sakura felt like collapsing any minute. "Sa-- Sakura... hold in there... don't you dare to collapse!" Sasuke screamed. He lowered his head. Although he said that he felt like doing it any minute too. He felt he was going to throw up. He felt like he was going to... die? Sasuke's eyes widened and tears had appeared in his eyes. Was he going to die... was he going to die like this? Everything he had gone through was it all going to be wasted like this? Sasuke felt his head becoming light. He felt his eyes closing. "Sa... suke..." Sakura barely had strength left as she could only watch Sasuke becoming weaker and weaker. "Sa-- su..."

"SASUKE!!!"

Sakura looked up. Someone, black as shadow threw a punch in one of Shinji's people. First one, second one... third... He knocked them all to the ground. Superman? No. Police? No. Naruto? Sakura blinked her eyes one more time to get a better vision. And slowly, just slowly blonde hair appeared in her sight. "Naruto..." Her eyes couldn't handle it anymore. Her eyes closed automatically, although she didn't want to and her strength had left her body. "Sakura! Sasuke...!" That was the last thing she could hear before everything turned black... and silent.
