Koimizu chapter 32.



Music was heard in the big room as it started to fill up with people who wore beautiful dresses and suits. So now and then children started to run from one side to another but could you blame them? A man stepped on the podium of the room and ticked his fingers on the microphone to see if it was working properly. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming tonight. We're here today to celebrate our boss, Mr. Masaki's birthday. He has become 50! Please give him an applause!" The man started to clap and soon everyone in the room followed.

The man named as Mr. Masaki smiled as he stood up and bowed to everyone who were clapping for him. You would think, why such a big event for just a birthday? But this man wasn't just a man. He was popular around the city. Maybe even further then that. And has helped the city many times when they were going through hard times. Yes, this man was sent by god as some loved to say.

Music returned in the room as it echoed just like it would in a church. And people started to talk and share their laughter once again. "Ah, could you be Uzumaki-san?" A woman with dark hair stepped forward to her with a smile written on her face. She blushed a little. "No... well my boyfriend is..." She blushed as well. "We're not married yet so..." The dark haired woman smiled at her. "Oh! I see... sorry... uhm...?"

"Kushina. You can call me Kushina."

She gave her a hand. "Kushina... I'm Uchiha Mikoto. I heard your boyfriend is the assistant of my husband." Kushina blinked her eyes. "Oh, Uchiha-san? I've heard about him from him." She smiled as she searched for her boyfriend. "Ah, there he is. Minato!" She yelled at him. Blonde haired man turned around. His face young just like her. He waved at her, a little kid hanging on one of his legs at the same time. Minato lifted him up and put him on his shoulders. "Let's go to your mommy, okay?" He said to the little boy. But he was way too busy playing with his dad's hair. It was just so blonde and fluffy. Kushina gave Minato a kiss andintroduced Mikoto to him. "Ah yes, that's right. I am working with Uchiha-san." He told her. She smiled again. "I have heard many stories about you so I am glad I can finally meet you." Minato put his son down and smiled back.

"Mommy!"

Someone hugged Mikoto from behind. She turned around and sat down on her knees as she wiped the small tears from his eyes. "Nii-san is being mean!" He pouted. Mikoto looked up as her first son walked over to her with a 'i am sorry' expression on his face. Mikoto sighed. "Itachi, behave yourself and be kind to your little brother, will you?" He just nodded as he grabbed the smaller one his hand. "I am sorry, Sasuke." He put his hand on top of his head and patted him.

"How old is your son? He seems to be around our son's age."

"Yes, he's 6 right now."

Kushina laughed. "So is our son." She pushed her son towards the other one. "Why don't you play together with him, Naruto?" Kushina asked her son as she then looked at the other one. Naruto blinked his eyes before he blushed and quickly hid behind his mother. Carefully he looked behind her again and met eyes with Sasuke. Itachi let Sasuke's hand go so that Sasuke could make his move to him yet didn't. "Come on Naruto, don't be shy." Kushina stood up so that Naruto couldn't hide behind her anymore. He nearly started crying. Why was that? Because he was so shy? Naruto grabbed her legs quickly and put his head between them as he looked at the other one. Sasuke carefully made his first steps until he was in front of him and in front of Kushina's legs. "Come, Naruto." She laughed nervously. But no matter which way she tried to go, Naruto followed. So in the end it was no use at all.

Sasuke pouted. "Are you afraid of me?" He asked him. Naruto blinked his eyes and quicky shook his head. It wasn't that. He just... felt so shy. Which was quite unusual as well. Sasuke made a few steps closer to him and grabbed his arm. Naruto carefully appeared from behind his mother's legs until he was standing right in front of Sasuke. Sasuke smiled at him. His dark eyes piercing right through the blonde if that was even possible.

"Hi, I'm Sasu--"

Before anyone realised it, Naruto had closed his eyes without thinking and had pressed his lips on the dark haired ones.

"Naruto!" Kushina yelled.

"Oh my god, Sasuke!" Mikoto followed.

What a great first meeting this was...

It had been quite a while since they had last seen eachother after this. Of course, because besides that Minato and Uchiha Fugaku worked together, there was nothing else going on between them. Well, not counting that night then when their sons kissed. But that was a mistake and nothing more...

"Eh? You're giving a party?"

"Yeah! Wanna come?"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. He didn't really know if he wanted to be there but whatever, I guess he could go. He nodded to Kiba who smiled like there was no tomorrow. This was the first time the uchiha actually said yes to anything. It was a miracle! Kiba handed more of his invatation to people around him. Some he knew very well, and some he didn't knew that well but liked anyways. "How many people will be there?" Sasuke asked him as he followed Kiba everywhere he went to. "Hmm... I guess about 30 people." The Uchiha almost wanted to retreat but Kiba would make sure the Uchiha would come!

"Okay, around 8 right? I will be there."

Kiba hold up his thumb as Sasuke went to his class. "Okay, see you then!"
Though Kiba was in the same class as him, and class had started just now, his invatations were a little more important to him at the moment.

As promised, Sasuke stood around 8pm at his door. He could the music slamming in the house a few blocks away. And you don't want to know how many times Sasuke had slapped his head for that already. Oh god, why did he agree? He hates things like this. But he knew what the reason was. Kiba. Kiba, one of his best friends who was always there for him. He couldn't just let him down after all he had done for him. Sasuke knocked on the door and waited. Waited and waited... Two girls behind him started to giggle as they saw Sasuke and opened the door without even needing to knock. Sasuek blinked his eyes twice.

Of course, how the hell could he not realise that. With the music this loud there was no way anyone could hear that pathetic knocking of his. Sasuke opened the door as well and stepped inside. He looked at the people who were even standing in the hall way, drinking beer and getting ready to get drunk for sure. Sasuke sighed again and walked inside to see if there were actually any familiar people beside Kiba.

He didn't know how long he was standing there already. Tons of girls had already tried to touch, hug, kiss and get him drunk but with no success of course. Another one and Sasuke was going to explode. It was disgusting. Just... disgusting. Suddenly a hand touched his shoulder. Sasuke was ready to his the person but only realised soon after that it was no other then Kiba himself. "Hey, what are you doing? Are you really just going to stand here and do nothing?" Sasuke rolled his eyes. Well if that was needed then yes. He would. Kiba smiled and looked at some girls in front of them. They were giggling as they looked at Kiba and then at Sasuke. "Those girls like you, why don't you try to date them?" Kiba asked him. Sasuke sighed. "No thanks."

"What? Oh come on, they're pretty!"

"I said, no thanks."

"Okay okay. Geez..."

"Yo, Kiba!"

Sasuke looked at the person who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. He high fived Kiba before they hit their shoulders against eachother. Sasuke never understood a greeting like that. It looked absolutely stupid. Sasuke rolled his eyes as he left the two alone and got another drink.

"Naruto, you're late. Where have you been man? I was waiting for you..."

The blonde smiled at him. "I am sorry, I am sorry." He aplogised twice. "School is such a bitch, they made me stay longer then I expected. So I had to run home, get a shower and then my taxi was also late--" Kiba made him stop. He understood it already. Well one thing was for sure, he was glad he was here. "So, this was your last day there, right?" Kiba asked him. He nodded his head back in agreement. Hell yeah it was. Naruto took a sip from his beer and smiled. He was so glad those days were over. Starting tomorrow, he will be attending the same school as Kiba. And hearing his stories, it's so much better then his school.

"So is she here?"

Kiba laughed. He knew this was going to come from the blonde any second. "Yeah, I saw her over there." He pointed to the direction of the bar. "She was with some friends, unfortunate for you... are you going to ask her anyway?" Kiba asked him. Naruto rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah... I guess I will give it a shot."

"Okay, go for it!"

Naruto handed his beer over to Kiba as he walked over to the bar where this 'girl' should be. Naruto felt his heart beating as he came closer to the bar. But she was not there, nor were her friends. "Sakura, can I lent your phone for a second?" Naruto catched from a distant. He turned his head and met eyes with the pink haired girl he was looking for. Though he was still on a different school, he had seen her a couple times already when he waited for Kiba to do something fun. Though it was just once but he somehow had the feeling this was... what was it called? Love at first sight?

Actually Kiba had never talked to her before, but because Hinata was a friend of her and Kiba is really close to Hinata so he had no other choice then to invite her as well. On the other side Naruto wanted her to come of course or it would be pointless for himself. And now tonight, she looked absolutely beautiful.

The change of lights made Naruto's eyes blink. The room started to get darker and the lights started to move slowly instead of on the fast beats. Oh god no, was it time for this already? And yes it was. He knew that once couples started to give eachother the hand and took their place in the middle of the room. Naruto wasn't sure what he needed to do. Go to her though she had probably never seen him and ask her to dance with him? Or just wait there and curse Kiba for having such an awesome home. Naruto sighed. No, he was going for it, right? For some reason he could feel Kiba's death glare on him though he was nowhere to be seen. He took a deep breath before stepping towards her.

His heart started to beat even faster if that was possible. He could hear his breath echoeing inside his head and his footsteps on the ground. But then it stopped. Everything felt like it had stopped. His legs, his breathing, his heart... In front of his eyes the world was going in slow motion. People who were passing him by were slowly taking their steps and the lights in the room lightened the obejcts and people in the room. But why? He wasn't looking at her. He was looking behind her. At someone he felt like he had seen before yet couldn't remember where it was. His dreams? Naruto shook his head. What was he doing? His heart calmed down and the world was back to normal speed. He raised his head to the person but he was gone.

"Love at first sight..."

Naruto slapped his face and made some people look up strangly at him. Of course they did. He looked like a crazy person. But then why was it that he was thinking of this stupid 'love at first sight'. He had never believed in this... until he met this girl Sakura. But why was he feeling even better, even more wonderful looking at a man. A man... A man!

"Naruto! What are you standing here for?!"

Naruto came back to reality twice. Kiba had appeared next to him once again. "She is standing in front of you, and you missed the love songs. What are you doing?" He whispered in his ear. Yeah, that's exactly something Naruto wanted to know as well. Was the hell was he doing. He looked at Sakura who left the room with her friends. But he didn't feel sad. He actually didn't feel like he loved her at all. And how come this change of feeling was there within one freaking second?!

"K- Kiba..."

"Hm?"

"U- Uh... d- dark haired guy... with spikes on the back of his head... w- who is that?"

"Eh? You mean him?"

Naruto looked up immediately. Kiba grabbed his friend by the arms and pulled him in front of Naruto. Naruto felt a huge blush came across his face. "Ta- Aa- Ah!" He yelped from shock. He quickly made some step backwards as he nearly tripped. Sasuke blinked his eyes and he took a sip from his drink. "What's wrong with him?" Kiba asked from behind him as he put his hands on Sasuke's shoulders. Naruto couldn't speak anymore. He definitely did NOT see that coming. "U- uh..." Naruto tried to speak but no words wanted to come out.  

"You... don't I know you from somewhere?"

Naruto looked at the raven and blinked his eyes twice. Exactly, just the same thought he had been having for a while already. "I- I don't know... maybe?" Sasuke took another sip from his drink. Kiba just smiled at the two. "Uhh well... I will be going... you have fun...?" He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say but whatever. He had other things to do right now. Naruto looked at his friend who left the two alone. Okay, so now it was just him and this so-called guy Sasuke. Yes, him and Sasuke. Him and...

Sasuke...?

"Hey, haven't I heard your name somewere before?"

"Uh... could be? Who are you?"

"Naruto... U- Uzumaki Naruto..."

"Naruto... hmm... I am sure I heard your name before as well... but... from where...?"

"Ah! Aren't you the guy I--"

Naruto stopped as his body froze. Oh. My. God. Are you serious?! Sasuke raised an eyebrow to the blonde who seemed to have a flashback at the moment. Naruto blinked his eyes and quickly looked away. His blush becoming even worse then it already was. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god!

"Oh my god, what?"

Naruto looked at him. "N- Nothing! That kiss back then was because I was just a child and--" Sasuke's eyes had widened. Okay, guess that flashback had appeared in front of him as well. "You're that guy that kissed me?" Naruto made some step backwards until he hit the back of some girl. "Heh. How lucky I am to finally have a chance to pay you back for what you did to me!" He balled his fist and was ready to hit Naruto with it any minute.

This day, this time...
It was written in the stars, that they were sworn rivals, enemies... and maybe even friends behind that...
