Koimizu chapter 35.



"It's been years already but I can still remember the day we first met our child like it was yesterday. It was like a dream. I couldn't believe it that she, our child was there. And not to mention that we made it through everything that happened along our ways. It was finally over..."

"The whole incident with Shinji made it difficult for us though. We knew... that if we just went back to school that someone would follow Shinji's steps. It's just that... we're gay and there's nothing we can do about that. Not even change one's opinion about it. We get treated differently. No matter what. That why Naruto and I quit school after all. To be honest it wasn't a difficult choice, I mean.. our teacher already told us that we had to leave. Now that our child was here, there was just no way we could continue school. But we didn't think of the consequenses..."

"First things first, we sold our house and with that money we bought a new one. One which wasn't too small nor too big. One where we could live happily and where no one knew us... yet. Yes, we moved far away from our previous place and school. We just didn't want to get recognised. Getting known as, 'that gay guy' or 'faggot'. We wanted a new start."

"Naruto started to look for a place to work. And I, I guess I kind of became a housewife. I wish I could help him out though but with our daughter still being so small, there was no way I could leave her alone. Oh and a baby sitter? No, that was no choice for us at the moment. I mean, what would she think if she saw a male as mother? I didn't want to think about it, neither did Naruto... But nobody wanted Naruto. And why? Because we are young, and have no experience in what so ever. Who wanted a young man, who didn't even finish his school? Nobody."

"It was so hard..."

"But one day he met a person called Iruka. He, being the first person, understood us and our problem and offered Naruto a job. I can remember myself embracing my lover like there was no tomorrow, like he had proposed to me. I was just so happy, so shocked there still excisted kindness in people's hearts."

"So now we're here, alive and getting through this together..."

Sasuke closed the door behind him and made his way to his daughter's school. He took a bite from his tomato and took a nice, deep breath. The air was so nice here. Not to mention the nature, the leaves were beautiful green and the people around him were all so kind. Kind, yes... maybe because they didn't know what he was yet but it was okay for him to live like this for a while. Slowly, slowly he would come out to this place and show his true self. Just like before. But for now this was more then enough...

After a while he arrived at her school. Can you imagine it? How many years had passed by since then already? She was already attending a school. Sasuke smiled as he could see his cute little daughter saying goodbye to her teacher. Her teacher was beautiful and so kind. Sometimes Sasuke wondered if she was an angel, sent down from heaven. Yes, she knew about their story. And actually was the only one who knew it and understood. Well, maybe some started to wonder why no woman would pick his daughter up but they never dared to ask. Maybe because they were scared to find out the truth? But Sasuke promised himself that when that would happen, he would clear it out. No matter what they would think about it.
The little girl looked at her mother and smiled. She embraced Sasuke and got lifted up by him. "Hi sweety, how was school?" He asked with a kind voice. She smiled at him and showed him a drawing she made. "I made this! This is mommy, daddy and this is me!" She said as she pointed. Sasuke smiled at her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "That is beautiful dear."

"Are we going to pick up daddy today?"

"Yes we will. But first we need to go to the supermarket and get some things for dinner. Will you help mommy choose what we're going to eat tonight?"

She nodded her head. Sasuke put her down again and immediately the little girl grabbed his hand. "Let's go then." Sasuke hold her small hand tight. And this is how it went almost everyday. Picking Akemi, his daughter up and after that they would go visit her daddy Naruto in hope he was done working.

"Daddy!" Akemi said as she pointed to the blonde male the moment she saw him. Naruto almost dropped the box he was carrying. He looked at his beautiful lover and then at his beautiful and oh-so-cute little daughter. "Hi sweetheart." Naruto said as he put the box on the ground. Akemi let go of Sasuke's hand and jumped in Naruto's arms. Naruto hugged her before he started to tickle her softly. He looked at Sasuke who was smiling at them and kissed his lips.

"Oh, good evening you two."

Sasuke looked at the brown haired male who had his hair tied up. He bowed to him and got a grateful bow back. "Are you done moving the things?" Iruka asked Naruto. "Ah yes, I just moved the last things."
"That's great. Thanks for the hard work. You can go with your family." Iruka smiled before greeting Sasuke and Akemi another time and left. Naruto put Akemi down and took off the belt on his waist which carried all kind of stuff for his job. "Okay, let's go home." Naruto smiled as he hold his daughters hand. Akemi rushed to Sasuke and with her free hand, grabbed his hand. "Can we go to the park first?" The little one asked his parents. Sasuke blinked his eyes twice before looking up at Naruto who seemed to agree with the idea. The weather was incredibly nice after all, so why not?

"Sure."

As they arrived Akemi quickly let go of their hands and ran over to the swings. She always loved the swings that's why, whenever they came to the park, she would go on the swings first. Naruto laughed and sat down on the bench, Sasuke following slowly. Naruto looked at his lover and carressed his cheek softly to catch his attention. Sasuke blushed at him. "I love you." Naruto said as he threw his arm around his shoulder. "I love you too." Sasuke whispered back at him. He shifted to Naruto and put his head on his shoulder. Just like this. This was enough for them. Seeing their daughter play in front of them and them cuddling in public but no one actually caring about it. Atleast it seemed that way. Naruto kissed his forehead. "I love you so much." He whispered close to his ear. Sasuke closed his eyes and smiled. His heart beating like crazy in his chest. Even after all these years he still felt so strong for him. It was unbelievable.

They had almost forgot the time as they came home quite late. Akemi though still had lots of energy. Like always. Sasuke put the plastic bags on the counter in the kitchen and quickly started dinner. Akemi threw herself on the couch and turned the television on. "Need some help?" Naruto asked as he entered the room and threw his arms around Sasuke's waist. Sasuke smiled at him as he felt Naruto kiss him softly in the neck. "No thank you, why don't you watch some tv with your daughter?" Sasuke asked back. Naruto kissed him again and looked up at Akemi who was watching the last few kids programs. "You sure you don't need my help?"

"I am sure. Come on, go to your daughter. You know she likes it to watch television with someone."

Naruto nodded his head. Oh yes, he knew. She would ask you in the morning if you wanted to watch tv with her even though you were still sleeping. Naruto let go of Sasuke and kissed him on the lips. "I love you." He said as he went to Akemi and sat down next her. Akemi quickly sat down  next to him and laid against his side. Naruto put his arm around her. Sasuke looked at the two and smiled to himself. That sight, that was what he loved to see so much.

The doorbell rung.

Sasuke washed his hands quickly and opened the door. To his surprise Sakura and Kakashi were standing in front of their home. "Sakura... Kakashi... W- What are you doing here?" Sasuke could barely believe his eyes. It was like YEARS that they hadn't seen eachother. Sure they gave them their address but to think they would go this far to visit them. That was something Sasuke didn't really see coming. Sakura kissed Sasuke's cheeks and welcomed herself in since Sasuke was just staring shocked into the distance. But that kiss made him wake up from it again. Guess it was real.

Kakashi hugged Sasuke as he closed the door behind them. "Wow, this house is amazing! And the neighbourhood too!" Sakura said. Kakashi started laughing. "What's so funny?" Sasuke asked confused. "No, it's just that she's been saying that over and over again. The whole way through she was like: Wow! This is amazing! I want to live here too!" Sakura pouted to the older guy. "Well it's true. The neighbourhood and houses are so much better then ours." She rolled her eyes afterwards.

"Sakura?"

Sakura turned around and met Naruto's eyes. "Naruto!" She hugged the blonde quickly. Kakashi waved his hand as the blonde looked just as shocked as Sasuke. "What the hell? What are you guys doing here? I mean... not that I mind but..."

"Exactly." Sasuke quickly agreed.

"Oh come on, we can't even see our friends after such a long time?" She smiled brightly. "I finished school and now I finally got some time to go here and visit you guys. How is everything going? Where's the little baby?"

Sasuke smiled at her. "Well, she isn't really a baby anymore..."

Naruto looked at the living room and called out her name. Slowly the little girl appeared in the hall and looked at the two strangers. She glomped Naruto's leg and hold his hand with her own. "Who are they, daddy?" Naruto didn't had any time to say anything to her as Sakura squeled. "She's so cute!" She walked over to her and shook her hand. "Hi~ I am Sakura, and you?"

"A- Akemi..."

Sakura looked at Sasuke. "Sasuke, she's beautiful. Hair from the mother and eyes from the father. Beautiful." Naruto smiled nervously. "Well thank you. She really is an angel." Akemi blushed and hid her head behind Naruto's legs. "And nervous." Kakashi added. He looked at Sasuke and put his hand on his shoulder. "I am so happy for you guys, you know that right? It wasn't easy to get to where you are right now. You did a good job, both of you." He looked at Naruto this time.

"Thank you."

"Sasuke, weren't you cooking?"

Sasuke's eyes widened. "Oh shit, you're right! Aah, I totally forgot. Uh, can you lead Sakura and Kakashi in please?" Naruto nodded his head. "Sure thing."

"Thanks."

Sasuke kissed his cheek before he hurried to the kitchen to continue his cooking. Akemi let go of Naruto's legs and hand and followed her mother. "So, how have things been going there? Anything interesting happened?" Sakura and Kakashi looked down for a while.

"W- What?"

"Shinji is dead." Naruto's eyes widened from shock. "What?!" Kakashi put his bag down on the ground and sighed. He wasn't sure about it himself but from what he had heard... "It seems that... he realised what he had done and felt so sorry for you guys and for what he did to you that he... committed suicide."

"He couldn't live with himself anymore." Sakura added.

Naruto looked down. "He felt sorry..." Sakura and Kakashi nodded slowly. "He had to stay in jail for a few years and probably... he has been thinking about what he had done to you guys a lot. Until the moment where he felt so sorry that he didnt want to live anymore. He just couldn't forgive himself for what he had done..." Naruto could barely believe what he had heard and what was this feeling? Sad? Feeling sorry? No, he didn't really do anything to him right so why was he feeling so sorry for him? Because he realised what he had done when it was already too late...?

"Wow."

"But you shouldn't worry about it too much. I mean, this was his own choice. Atleast you know now that he's sorry for what he has done." Sakura told him. "Y- Yeah... you're right."

"Naruto..."

"Hm?"

"I am so happy for you. You and Sasuke didn't deserve to be treated that way."

"Thank you, Sakura-chan."

"Naru..." Sasuke said as he put his hand on Naruto's shoulder. But what was this conversation he just disturbed? They were all looking so serious, maybe even sad... "What is it?" Naruto looked at him with a smile on his face. He wouldn't tell Sasuke. "Dinner is almost ready." Naruto put his hand on Sasuke's and smiled. "Okay, mind if Sakura and Kakashi stay over for dinner?" Sasuke shook his head. "No of course not." He let go of Naruto and returned to the kitchen. Naruto smiled at the two. "So, mind staying over for dinner? Believe it or not, but Sasuke is a REALLY good cook!"

"Really now? I would love to see that myself."

"For real! Sasuke's cooking is THE BEST!"

"Ha ha. I can't wait to taste it."
